In local areas of Orange County, California, the Todd Anglin Home for Children provides weekend meals to elementary school children who have been identified as homeless under the McKinney-Vento legislation. The children take part in free or reduced lunch program at school during the week. On weekends when school is not in session, many of these children find themselves without food. In an effort to alleviate hunger, the Todd Anglin Home for Children distributes meals to the children through a school site coordinator. For many of these children, the meal that they receive from the Todd Anglin Home for Children is probably the only meal of the day they will enjoy.
